Sacristan

By definition, a sacristan is a person in charge of the sacristy and church related ceremonial equipment. In order of all the members of a community of faith to take full, conscious and active part in liturgical celebration, there needs to be someone who prepares and oversees the things of the liturgy, that is the sacristan.
